The Hong Kong Young Ambassador Scheme, first launched in 2001, is jointly organised by the Tourism Commission and The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups, with the Hong Kong Association for Customer Service Excellence as co-organiser. Open to full-time students in Hong Kong aged 15 or above, the Scheme aims to instill in the young people a sense of belonging to Hong Kong and a culture of service excellence, and to inspire them with a sense of courtesy and helpfulness to visitors. After completing the training programme, Young Ambassadors are engaged in a wide range of voluntary service opportunities throughout the year to help promote Hong Kong to visitors.
